The 10 Week Scan + NIPT is our unique test which combines an expert early anomaly scan coupled with advanced genetic testing.
The aim of our 10 Week Scan is to confirm your baby’s wellbeing and to screen for 10 major structural anomalies. 10 weeks is a first major milestone in the development of your baby: it has finished its embryological development and now looks like a little human. At London Pregnancy Clinic we use our unique 2D and 3D ultrasound technology to get high-resolution images of your baby’s body, brain, limbs and even some internal organs.
NIPT is a non-invasive maternal blood test which provides the most accurate screening for Down’s syndrome (trisomy 21) and other chromosomal anomalies. This advanced genetic test is based on detection of small fragments of placental cfDNA in the maternal blood and is available from 10 weeks.
At 10 Week Scan & NIPT we perform the earliest structural anomaly scan, and take maternal blood sample for NIPT (Harmony NIPT or Panorama NIPT) at the same appointment. Normal results at our 10 Week Scan & NIPT provide a strong reassurance, in the earliest stages of pregnancy as soon as the embryological development has completed.
